ROOT Linux is an advanced GNU/Linux operating system. It aims to be fast, stable and flexible. ROOT Linux is not recommended as a first Linux distribution. People should have experience with Linux and computers in general. Version 1.3 was released August 27, 2002. Version 1.4 was released December 16, 2004. As of February 15, 2006 Root is optimized for Intel 686. Moved to historical January 6, 2008.
