Gibraltar is a project that aims to produce a Debian GNU/Linux-based router and firewall package. This package boots and runs from CD-ROM, so a hard disk installation is not necessary. Version 0.99.6 was released January 13, 2003. Version 2.5 was released September 10, 2007. Gibraltar 2.6 was released July 17, 2008. Gibraltar 3.1 was released May 4, 2011.
