The Ankur Bangla Project is working toward supporting the Bangla (Bengali) language on the GNU/Linux operating system. The project has created a Morphix-based Live CD with GNOME 2.4, localized into Bangla. Beta 2 of Ankur Bangla Live was released October 8, 2003. Version 1.0 was released December 23, 2003. Ubuntu based AnkurBangla Install CD 7.10 was released October 27, 2007. Ankur Live was released March 21, 2012.
